The name behind the guide

Eir.

Norse goddess of healing. In Snorri's Edda called 'the best of physicians'.

The name

Grace. Gentleness. Help.

In Norse mythology Eir is one of Freya's companions and one of the nine maidens on Lyfjaberg — the healing mountain — where she heals all who seek her.

The name directly means grace, gentleness or help in Old Norse — binding care and action together in a single word.

Why Eir

A healer across modalities.

Sanne's practice spans eight treatments across body, mind and spirit. Eir unites exactly that range.

In the myth she is not a specialist in a single discipline, but a healer across them all — from the anatomical precision of reflexology and ear acupuncture to the warmth of healing and talk therapy. She both sees (diagnosis, insight) and helps (care, action).

The name has survived in modern Icelandic and Faroese as a girl's name, and is increasingly used in Norway and Sweden. In Denmark it remains rare — distinct without being invented.
